  • Wisconsin faces a persistent shortage of commercial drivers, with thousands of CDL-related openings each year

  • At the same time, many residents remain disconnected from training, licensing, and employer pathways needed to access these jobs

  • We partner with forward-thinking employers who need qualified employees.

  • Target young adults and early-career workers.

  • Provide ELDT-compliant training to pre-qualified candidates who are poised for success.

  • Our candidates receive comprehensive career support services throughout their training.

The Regional Transportation Training Center (RTTC) provides workforce training and adult education that connects underemployed residents to high-demand transportation careers in South Central Wisconsin through strong employer and industry partnerships.

Get Involved

Support our Congressional Directed Spending request to Senator Baldwin to expand LAWD’s CDL program and create a strong regional workforce pipeline.

This investment will:

  • Train 225 participants over 3 years

  • Create direct pathways to apprenticeships and high-demand employment opportunities ​

  • Strengthen Wisconsin’s transportation workforce
