JEANNETTE
ENGLISH PROGRAM
When Jeannette Araus signed up for classes at the Latino Academy, she was looking for a way in—to work, to stability, to something she could build on.
The courses she took—English and early childhood education—offered more than information. They offered a route. The curriculum was relevant, the teachers knew what they were doing, and the process led somewhere. That mattered.
“These courses helped me prepare to work,” she says. “They gave me what I needed, and I didn’t have to pay for something I couldn’t afford.”
The learning environment made a difference too. It wasn’t just professional—it was personal. Instructors checked in. Staff stayed involved. Jeannette felt seen and supported, not just enrolled.
Now, she shares what she’s learned freely. She tells friends, family members, and anyone else who’s stuck in the in-between. “Come take the classes,” she says. “You’ll find something here that can really help you move.”

Why Choose Us
1
Rooted in Community
We are built by and for the community we serve. Our programs are shaped by real needs and lived experiences. We work side by side with students, families, and partners to create opportunities that are relevant and accessible.
2
Focused on Real-World Impact
We don’t offer training for training’s sake. Every class, certification, and coaching session is designed to connect directly to meaningful employment, education, or personal advancement.
3
Flexible and Practical
From evening classes to bilingual materials, we make learning fit into real lives. Whether you’re juggling work, caregiving, or just starting out, we offer flexible formats that make participation possible.
4
Student-Centered
Everything we do starts with the student. We design our programs to support individual goals, not one-size-fits-all outcomes. From flexible scheduling to personalized support, we prioritize what students need to lead their own progress—on their own terms.
