Brief Job Description
The CDL Trainer plays an essential role in delivering comprehensive training for students enrolled in LAWD’s CDL program. This position is responsible for preparing students to succeed in the classroom and behind the wheel by providing instruction, mentorship, and guidance. The Trainer works closely with the Director, Transportation Manager, and other staff to ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations, while maintaining a safe, positive, and welcoming learning environment.​

Brief Job Description
To strengthen our construction workforce development pathway and achieve our strategic goal of becoming a Certified Pre-Apprenticeship Program, the Construction Coordinator will lead and implement a high-quality, comprehensive, and accessible training program that aligns with industry standards and opens doors to long-term careers through registered apprenticeships. Working collaboratively with our broader coordination team—including digital literacy, workforce readiness, GED/HSED, and employment support staff—the coordinator will lead participant recruitment, support curriculum development, cultivate strategic partnerships with employers, unions, and community organizations, and provide hands-on assistance to participants navigating apprenticeship systems, employment platforms, and digital tools. This role serves as a critical link between students, instructors, and industry partners, ensuring holistic support and program delivery that positions the Latino Academy at the forefront of workforce development in Dane County.
