Ever came to the Latino Academy with a clear vision for his future. He wanted more than just a job—he wanted a meaningful career and the tools to build lasting stability. Earning his Commercial Driver’s License wasn’t just a practical step; it was a personal challenge that required dedication, resilience, and belief in himself.
“I knew it wouldn’t be easy,” Ever shares. “But I also knew that every sacrifice I made would be worth it. This journey taught me to value the obstacles, because every one of them brings its reward.”
Ever’s path through the CDL program was shaped by his own determination. The Academy provided the structure, resources, and support—but it was Ever who showed up, pushed through, and stayed committed. He took ownership of his progress, and that mindset continues to shape the way he approaches life and work.
His growth wasn’t limited to career skills. Through the experience, Ever developed a deeper appreciation for his identity and his community. “Being part of a space where Latinos support each other—it reminded me how powerful we are when we uplift one another,” he says.
That sense of pride drives him to give back. Ever now shares his story to encourage others to pursue their goals, especially those who may be facing similar challenges. “I tell people: if I can do it, you can too. Everything is possible when you’re willing to try.”
